CC4 E+

The Royalmac CC4 E+ is the battery-powered version of the CC4 cobra placer, developed for pours that take place indoors, underground or inside occupied buildings where a combustion engine is not an option. It is the first and only battery-driven concrete placing and spreading machine of its type in the Royalmac range, and it removes exhaust gas, engine noise and refuelling from the pour cycle entirely.

The drive is a 24 VDC 4.5 kW motor fed by a 240 Ah battery pack. When the battery runs down, the machine can be switched to mains electric operation and keeps working — the pour does not stop while the pack recharges. This matters on shift work where a battery-only machine would otherwise force an unplanned break in the concrete supply.

The working envelope matches the CC4: 2,370 mm horizontal reach, 3,150 mm vertical reach and 360° endless rotation of the arm. The pipe can be raised to the vertical for shear wall and column pours, so the machine is not limited to flat slab spreading. All four wheels steer through a full 360° with front, crab and mirror steering modes, letting the operator rotate on the spot or track sideways along a wall without a turning circle.

The machine is 1,300 mm wide, 3,850 mm long and 1,250 mm high, with 170 mm ground clearance and 1,050 kg total weight. Silicone-filled wheels give uninterrupted service over rebar offcuts and site debris. A wireless proportional radio remote control lets the operator stand at the discharge point rather than at the machine, and electronic parking holds the unit securely when it is left loaded.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens when the CC4 E+ battery runs out?

The machine switches to mains electric operation and continues working while the 240 Ah pack is recharged, so a discharged battery does not interrupt a pour in progress.

Can the CC4 E+ be used indoors or underground?

Yes. Because the drive is a 24 VDC 4.5 kW electric motor, there are no exhaust emissions and noise is low, which makes the machine suitable for basements, tunnels, car parks and refurbishment work inside occupied buildings.

How is the CC4 E+ different from the CC4?

The reach, rotation and steering are the same. The CC4 runs on a petrol engine and weighs 850 kg; the CC4 E+ runs on battery or mains power, is 3,850 mm long and weighs 1,050 kg. Choose the CC4 E+ where emissions, noise or fuel handling are restricted.

Is the CC4 E+ remote controlled?

Yes. It has a wireless proportional radio remote control, so the operator can position the discharge point while watching the concrete rather than the machine.

What surfaces can it work on?

Silicone-filled wheels and 170 mm ground clearance let it work across rebar mats, formwork edges and general site debris without puncture risk.
